This patient had a stretched piercing site in the left earlobe. The earlobe was repaired in the office under local anesthesia. Sutures were left in place for 6 days. A z-plasty was performed on the back of the earlobe to strengthen the closure by bringing healthy tissue into the area. The ear was then re-pierced two months later at a site adjacent to the former piercing site. The photos show the appearance before and 4 months after the procedure.
