Hi! I got Juvederm Ultra done to my lips and everything was fine. 3 years ago a term convinced me to try Volbella. After injection my lips behaved different, they felt like foreign body, a lot of pain and swelling for a long time. Since the injections every time I catch a cold, I get vaccination (covid, flu, varicella, anything): my lips swell. The swelling is hard and painful. Can I ever get filler again? Will this happen again if I get filler my cheeks/under eye?
I had under eye Volbella Filler Nov 2017 & Voluma in cheek area Jan 2017. I awake with a mess each day, use warm compress each night/morning & still have lumps/uneveness all day. I have seen 5 Drs about the lumps, had Hylor. several times but am afraid of the lax skin I've always gotten from it. One Dr said that it's old filler & could be there for years & tried HYLORD but did nothing. After CO2 upper lids I had massive swelling in the same area, as I do if I get sick, allergies or anything.
Hi, I was injected with 1ml Volbella yesterday distributed over both lips. However it seems that they are uneven and very swollen. The swelling began immediately after injecting. The top lip seems larger than the bottom lip, hopefully this is just because of the swelling? I am very worried! Thank you in advance.
It initially started when I popped a pimple. Immediately bad swelling, redness, caused granuloma. For past six months, it would swell anytime I got a blemish in the area. I had hylanex 7 times & it improved the current swelling but it always swells up again - getting it treated now w steroid (is working), but can I have filler again in the future after this is solved? I had filler in my chin, upper cheekbone for 2 years, that was never a problem. Now I fear if I get filler again this will happen
Almost two years ago I received volbella in my tear troughs. Almost immediately i decided i didn't like the look and proceeded to have it dissolved on two occassions. Recently I have been have been getting swelling under the eyes accompanied by an eczema break out and it appears that perhaps there is still filler there? I don't know if the reaction is causing the filler to swell or if the filler is causing the eczema. Thoughts?
I had one syringe of volbella infected into my lips a little over a week ago. There was some bruising and swelling, nothing out of the ordinary. Now my upper lip has one large clear bump, and I can feel something deep in my lower lip. They visibly look crooked. I have tried massage but unsure how far that is going to get me. My injector wants to use hylarex to dissolve. Is this my last option? Thank you for your help
I recently got lip injections of Volbella and my lips have turned brownish also purple (they are actually darker in real life than the picture!). This happened before but I thought it was because of a medicine that I was taking that I reacted poorly too. I am not sure why they became this color??? Should I be concerned and is there a way to fix it??? I hate how they look now! I wanted my lips to look bigger by the brown makes them blend with my skin making them look smaller!!! Please help! The first image is a before and after. My lips were very pink with hardly any dark or brown pigmentation. I spoke with my injector and she said possible post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, is there any way to correct this? Because the first time I got fillers it never actually completely went away, only faded (which is part of the reason that I wanted more).
Good after-noon, It's been 7 hours since my Volbella lip injection, and was aware that swelling will occur, but I noticed a bump on my top right lip (as seen on the picture ). Is this normal ? will it fade away ? It looks a little bit bruised. I have taken an appointment with the doctor in 3 weeks for another check up. Thank you for your replies
Hi I've had fillers before and always experienced a small amount of swelling, but 5 hours after 1 vial of Volbella ( the first time I have had this filler) and my top lip feels like it's about to pop. The swelling is severe and very uncomfortable. If this continues I honestly think my lips will start to split. I've iced them and taken arnica (for the week leading up to the injections) but this swelling is really quite scary. I could use some advice on this please...
I had Restylane injected in my undereye area, 0.5ml each side. It caused mild edema 3 weeks post treatment (only on the left side) and was dissolved, which left my tear through area depressed and with spots of minor swelling. A more experienced doctor recommended 0.6 ml of Juvederm Volbella to refill the same area. He also uses Teosyal, but he seemed keen on the Volbella. My question is, would Volbella be likely to make my eye swell again? Or does it all depend on the skill of the injector?
