I recently got lip injections of Volbella and my lips have turned brownish also purple (they are actually darker in real life than the picture!). This happened before but I thought it was because of a medicine that I was taking that I reacted poorly too. I am not sure why they became this color??? Should I be concerned and is there a way to fix it??? I hate how they look now! I wanted my lips to look bigger by the brown makes them blend with my skin making them look smaller!!! Please help! The first image is a before and after. My lips were very pink with hardly any dark or brown pigmentation. I spoke with my injector and she said possible post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, is there any way to correct this? Because the first time I got fillers it never actually completely went away, only faded (which is part of the reason that I wanted more).

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. It appears that your lip creases and border was overfilled with the Vobella, and after two months the best treatment would be to dissolve the product with hyaluronidase. Hope this helps.
Thank you for your question. It's been 4 months since your injection. I highly doubt there is a lot of filler left. Also, Volbella is the thinnest filler on the market and it will not add any significant volume to any lips, not even possible to cause a bump like that,...
Hi, thank you for your question. The reason why fillers or even Botox treatments are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding is because there are no studies that prove it is safe. No studies prove these treatments are harmful during pregnancy/breastfeeding either so we avoid them...
