Hello, hope you are well. I have corrected noses exactly like this. The concavity--or 'dent'--is generally caused by buckling of the lower lateral cartilage underneath the skin. It can be fixed with rhinoplasty, and requires cartilage grafting to support the buckled area (either from the nasal septum or ear). At the same time, any other aesthetic modifications to the nose that you may desire can be performed.Cheers,Dr. Tower
The photo shows a concave curvature of the right side of the nose. The best way to fix that is with surgery which could straighten it permanently. If surgery is not an option, a filler may be able to smooth it out some as well. Be sure to see an expert rhinoplasty surgeon for consultation.
Hello! Thank you for your question. You have a huge deviation, this can cause breathing problems, I recommend rhinoplasty surgery to get rid of this image and gain a healthier nose.If you can provide photos with better lighting, from the side of your face and 1 meter away I would be able to make a proper evaluation. It would be more convenient to decide with face-to-face consultation. Best regards!
Hello Linda,The lower lateral nasal cartilage on your right is concave while the one on your left (the normal anatomy) is convex. The best treatment is to have a tiplasty nasal surgery where the cartilage is flipped over and sutured into the normal position. With the advent of injectable fillers, there may be a temporary fix, I would not recommend as it is temporary and dangerous in this part of the nose. Choose your rhinoplasty surgeon most carefully. Good luck and be well.Michael Persky, MDEncino, CA
it would be very simple to treat this small dent with injection of filler. However, more serious condition, a crucked nose would require complex rhinoseptoplasty. In person consultation with a plastic surgeon with expertise in nose surgery, is recommended. Good luclk.
Injecting dermal fillers can help temporarily correct minor nasal dents. The filler material is injected into the depressed area to restore volume and improve the contour of the nose. However, this is a temporary solution that requires repeat treatments over time. Rhinoplasty may be recommended as a more permanent and comprehensive solution. It can involve reshaping the nasal bones and cartilage to correct asymmetry and improve the overall appearance of the nose.An “in person” consultation is, of course, necessary.I hope this helps, best of luck !
From the very limited photograph presented, you have a concave lower lateral cartlidge in your nasal tip. To make this much more symmetrical to the opposite side will require a cartilage graft harvested from inside the nose to add additional cartilaginous support for both functional and cosmetic purposes to make the nose tip look much more symmetrical. A closed rhinoplasty approach can accomplish improvement with all the incisions placed on the inside of the nose. No external incisions are required, and no painful packing as required either.
Dent on the side of nose: my first question is, did you have prior nasal surgery? Since you did not mention that, I presume you did not. A thorough evaluation of what’s causing the dent would be easier in person. However in most cases like that a Cartilage Graft would be used to fill in the dent. There are various ways of doing this, but a nice shaped Cartilage for this type of use can often be harvested from the back of the ear. If that’s all that was involved, it could be a rather small procedure done under local anesthesia. If there is more involved, such as a severely deviated septum, then that would have to be addressed as well.

Could biting something hard affect your rhinoplasty results? The nose is connected to the maxilla which is the bone in which your teeth insert. So pressure from the maxilla will be transmitted to the nasal bones. This may cause an uncomfortable feeling, but I can’t imagine any way that it w...
