I was told by my surgeon the right side of my tip would drop like the left side did, but it never happened. Its been 9 years and Ive been getting fillers in my nose to disguise the unattractive notched/asymmetrical appearance but Im just wondering if there is anything else I can do. This was my second surgery aa my first rhinoplasty left me with a drooping columella and alar notching. So far I have only been brave enough to use fillers after 2 bad surgeries. Any other options? Is it bossae?
I had my 3rd rhinoplasty in August 2021. The first 6 months were fine. After this, a kenalog shot left a bump on the tip. My collumella also began to drop. An in office procedure to trim the collumella was performed in office in November 2022. It has come back again. What can i do?
I did not get many opinions last time I asked.I have a columella strut graft that is really uncomfortable. it goes past my actual columella and is in my upper lip area and it is bouncing around with lip movement and is grinding against something. My objective is so that I will not feel it mobile nor feel it in this area. I have gotten many opinions and most docs say if you shorten it, the tip will drop a lot. I have no clue what to do and feel depressed and hopeless? This will be 3rd op
I had rhinoplasty at 18. I developed scar tissue just above the tip, so I had a revision at 21. Following the revision, the swelling was taking forever to subside, so I began taping from left to right just above my tip b/c I was scared of forming scar tissue again. There is less cartilage on the left side, & more on the right, & I am concerned I caused this from taping w/o consulting my surgeon. My tip also dropped. I am 31 now and get fillers, but did I worsen my result w/the tape?
I had revision rhinoplasty 7 months ago and my tip looks like it has dropped a lot. Do you consider that it's swelling or has the tip really dropped? I will see my surgeon on one month, but I am really stressed and your opinion would be helpful.
I had my rhinoplasty a year ago. When it was first done I loved the profile and the angle of my nose. One year later I feel like I lost the angle. My surgeon believes it hasnt changed much and that theres still swelling. But it feels like it has dropped and isnt tipped up how it initially was. He was quite dismissive when I addressed him about some issues I had. I am just curious what others think. Overall he did a good job, there were a few issues that I had.
I had a rhinoplasty done exactly 12 months ago and feel like my tip dropped and is pointy after consulting with my dr he advise he would lift up my tip with local anesthesia but not exactly sure if that will help with my situation or if a revision will be needed instead
Took my cast off today and Im devastated. Surgeon told me in experiencing asymmetrical inflammation because one nostril needed more graft work. I went to one of the best surgeons in NYC but Im a complete emotional wreck and unhappy with how it looks. My nose looks too high, the tip looks too pointy and my nostrils are very asymmetrical. It looks very unnatural and uneven. Will my nose drop? Am I being impatient? Or did I get a botched nose job?
Surgeon took away Infratip lobule and retracted columella through tip projection. He said he can put fillers for Infratip lobule. Is this ideal? Also retracted columella, nose very flat at bottom. Any chance columella will soften and drop back down? He lifted tip 2 mm against my hesitation and nose is too upturned for me. What can be done to have tip drop 2 mm to original position? Devastated and regretful. Was only to slightly narrow nose. 3 weeks post op septorhinoplasty. Please help!
