Tip droop and some swelling one year after rhinoplasty - do I need a revision? (photos)

I had my rhinoplasty a year ago. When it was first done I loved the profile and the angle of my nose. One year later I feel like I lost the angle. My surgeon believes it hasn’t changed much and that there’s still swelling. But it feels like it has dropped and isn’t tipped up how it initially was. He was quite dismissive when I addressed him about some issues I had. I am just curious what others think. Overall he did a good job, there were a few issues that I had.

Hello and thank you for providing photos with your question. Unfortunately, a drooping tip is a common complaint after rhinoplasty procedures. During the healing process, the nasal tip can begin to sag due to a lack of structural support. Correcting this issue typically doesn’t require a full revision rhinoplasty, but a tip plasty revision instead. If you do decide to continue with revision surgery, I highly recommend seeking a board-certified facial plastic surgeon with the proper qualifications. Make sure the surgeon you choose has plenty of experience performing revision rhinoplasty and tip plasty procedures before you move forward with surgery.

The issue is a lack of tip support.

Your tip is dropping(drooping) because of inadequate architectural support; your nostril is buckling from the tip malposition.

You require a tipplasty revision, restoring tip support such that your tip can be maintained above the bridge line on the profile view and will be properly structured(sculpted) and positioned from the frontal view.
