I had a lower facelift including neck lift by an experienced Boston plastic surgeon 8 months ago. Im not happy with the skin still hanging down on my neck and there is a hollow area between the two folds that really bothers me. Is this cobra neck deformity that occurs when a neck lift is botched? Would most women be happy with this result? I have made an appointment to see the surgeon who did the procedure but at my last follow up with him he seemed to think that this was the best it could be.
I am a 50 year old, 3 months post op. My skin seems to be progressively sagging and am developing more of a cobra deformity. I am aware that a year will be needed before it can be addressed but should I prepare myself emotionally and financially for a revision. What would you do to correct this?
6 months post deep plane facelift and neck lift. Great job getting rid of my jowls and turkey neck, but it's like the cartilage structure in my throat has dropped and relaxed. I understand that removing excess skin and fat make the neck structure more visible, but I've compared pics and my throat was not nearly this prominent. Can this be remedied w/under chin incision alone Does the cobra neck cause the adam's apple to press down and out? I'm 60, trying to be reasonable.
I am 14 months post op deep plane face/neck lift. I have had glands shaved, Platysmal bands done and fat transfer. Do I have a cobra neck? Why would I have this result? What is needed for correction? I had no healing problems. I am so upset by my results which my surgeon is aware of but says I have had improvement. My face was not terrible before surgery. Thank you for any replies and advice given.
I am 51 years old and a deep plane face and neck lift in 03/23. I had significant neck laxity and jowling due to massive weight loss. The turkey neck is gone, but Ive been left with a mess on my neck. My surgeon claims it can be fixed with Forma and coolPeel. I went for a 2nd opinion and the surgeon said there were discrepancies in the operative report and he was reluctant to do any revision for fear of nerve damage. What can I do to fix this? And is it cobra neck?
Im into my 4 months post surgery from a SMAS face and neck lift along with a platysmaplasty . Ive been worried since day one with seeing my results as my neck just didnt fit the norm expected after surgery. Personally its been ugly from the start. Everyday I massage, Im so conscious of it and upset. I thought I choose my surgeon well , I did say I wanted no lipo on my neck as it was only a small bit but hes done it. Will the middle drop down to match ? What options ? Dont want to go back
6 months after platysmaplasty to fix bands left by lipo (no new lipo, no skin or submental fat removal, no ear incisions, just front corset and hyoid fixation) I have Adams apple (Im a woman), cobra neck (hollow where platysma fixated to hyoid, bands pull forward on either side), and wrinkles when I turn my head. What can be done? See other posts for more detail. Doc says will go away but has gotten worse and Im not sure if I should trust him again. Im only 32, neck now looks like old lady.
Hello, Please help! I am 5 months in to lower face and neck lift and not happy with under chin results. Looks like Dr shoved everything in my chin and didn't adjust or tighten. Looked great for 2 to 3 weeks then started dropping. Should I ask for revision or do you think he did decent job? See pictures please.
I am 15 months post lower FL & necklift. Not only are the indentations under my chin unsightly, but they are very tight & restricting. What is causing this and will I need to undergo a full revision to fix it or is there a less invasive procedure that can be done? Thank you.
I had a deep plane facelift and necklift done five months ago. I am very unhappy with the results. In fact I look worse now than before. I had the procedure to address my jowls and a creepy neck. I can out with a huge saggy chin which I did not have before. Is there any thing to correct this?
