Ive recently read that numbing before Microneedling is counterintuitive because the numbing cream restricts the blood flow that is necessary to achieve optimal results. My NP encourages numbing, and thinks the effects of restricted blood flow on actual results is negligible. Ive gone to her for years and trust her;but at the same time know that no practitioner is infallible. Should I try to not numb (or numb for a shorter time) before my next appointment?
I recently had a consultation and scheduled my first microneedling procedure. The esthetician gave me a small container of numbing cream to apply to my face before I come in for the procedure, but I assumed they would apply this cream in office during my appointment. Is this normal?
I recently purchased Dr. Pen for microneedling treatments at home. Ive done my face several times with great success and decided to microneedle my chest tonight. After letting the numbing cream sit I started microneedling Forgeting to wipe the cream off first and just put the Hyaluronic acid over it. Do I need to be concerned about any terrible side effects of accidentally microneedling with the numbing cream still on??
Concerns with the use of numbing creams during the microneedling procedure. Would the use of a numbing cream during microneedling introduce this product into the skin thus causing irritants, or maybe a negative reaction?
Hello I am a 36 year old with a history of acne and acne scars. But have not had a flare or outbreaks for about 5 months now. I have a 2 month old infant who I currently breastfeed. And I'm looking into treatments for acne scars since I have some time now before having to back to work. My concern is if its safe for me to undergo micronedling treatments while nursing? Thank you for your time and honest response. Evelyn
I did microneedling 2x now, so far very little results. This last time she used 64 needles and went deeper. My question is: is the numbing cream supposed to be wiped off before the procedure? It was left one for about 30-45 min. It hurt SO bad last time it was like child birth. I didnt think it was numb at all. I had to keep putting ice on my face during the procedure because of the pain. Everyone says it doesnt hurt so I am wondering if she isnt supposed to be wiping the cream off.
This is day 2 after microneedling. I really dont see much of a difference. It hurt like hell even with the numbing cream so Im worried if the esthetician yes too much force or pressure or used too big of needles. I have track mark lines and my skin looks older (maybe because its dry and regenerating) but im just worried. Ill never do this again because it gives me too much anxiety. Red shirt is before and the gray is day 2.
