Why is RF microneedling contraindicated while nursing?

I am considering a stretch marks treatment with the secret radioFrequency micro-needling , lidocaine 5% is going to be used as a numbing cream, is it safe knowing that I am still breast feeding

Hello, and thanks for your question. It is completely understandable that you would want to start working on regaining your pre-baby tummy.  However it is better to wait until you are finished nursing.  While you are nursing your body produces hormones that impact your skin, which could make it more likely that you would have adverse effects from the microneedling with RF, such as pigment changes.  t Because you will be investing a lot of money in the treatment, it is best to wait until your body is back to its normal hormonal state before getting the treatment.Good luck!

Congratulations to your on your new addition and breastfeeding your infant.  Breastfeeding is important for the health of your newborn and your own.  Breastfeeding has been shown to reduce womens’ risk of heart disease later in life.  
Of course the likelihood that the anesthetic or the procedure itself would directly cause harm to you or your newborn is very low.  However, if there was a complication sufficient that prevented you from continuing breastfeeding that would be unfortunate and with potentially health implication for you and your newborn. It  depends on who you see as to how to get around this. Express feed, as lidocaine absorption is vvv low, but to take no chances, I ask patients to do this before any numbing cream is placed on. This is out of your system within 4 hours, so I don't have a problem with numbing cream in this manner. The procedure itself, RF microneedling has no contraindications whilst breast feeding as energy delivery is only during the procedure!
