Are the chemicals in numbing creams for micronedling safe for women who are breastfeeding?

Hello I am a 36 year old with a history of acne and acne scars. But have not had a flare or outbreaks for about 5 months now. I have a 2 month old infant who I currently breastfeed. And I'm looking into treatments for acne scars since I have some time now before having to back to work. My concern is if its safe for me to undergo micronedling treatments while nursing? Thank you for your question. This is one of the few cosmetic treatments I consider safe for women while they are breastfeeding. However, I would find out which topical numbing cream your plastic surgeon uses and clear it with your pediatrician or OB/GYN before undergoing the treatment. While most are safe, there are a few that contain ingredients that should not be used by women who are nursing.

Hi - I do perform microneedling on pregnant women - it's one of the only procedures that are safe in pregnant women and as long as the numb cream involved is safe in pregnancy then you should be ok 
I would recommend a consult before you consider the procedure to assess safety
