I had undergone gynecomastia surgery on 23rd Feb 2012. A few hours after the surgery the doctor discovered I have got a hematoma. As this PS uses drains after gynecomastia surgery a lot of liquid/fluid has been collected from my right side of the chest where hematoma is located. The drainage of the left surgery has gone down to 7.5 ml. But the right one is varying like on 2nd march discharge from the drain was 15 ml and the very next day it was around 48 ml. How long can it take to heal completely?
I had hematoma post surgery. The excess blood was aspirated . I have lot of internal scarring and fibrosis on the right side. I have excess skin as well. Can we do something about it? I am really concerned about the outcome and I am unhappy
I had Gynecomastia removal 14 months ago. Glandremoval and liposuction done under local anesthesia. The doctor and entire staff were great through the entire process. I had two hematomas (right side) which were drained and resulted in needing a scar revision on that same side at the 6mth post op mark. Im really disappointed in the end result and feel like I lost all of my chest definition. It looks pretty obvious that I was operated on and Im less confident now without a shirt than before.
First 5 photos preop. Other photos are 6 weeks postop. I had huge areolas and was very self conscious when they become hard. The surgeon did a periareolar nipple reduction on me and removed glandular tissues. I got hematoma on both sides the first day of surgery, however, the surgeon refused to drain it and we let it heal with time. 6 weeks later, I think nothing changed woth the left side, except for smaller areola. However, the right side is worse than preop.
Hi I'm about 2 weeks post gynecomastia surgery and my doctor determined that I have a hematoma due to an impact I suffered by someone elbowing me at an amusement park. He says I need to wait 6-8 weeks to let my body break down the hardened blood that has accumulated under the nipple. The he will attempt to aspirate the broken down fluid. I've read that surgery is the only way to get the hematoma out. Is my surgeon right or should I have the hematoma surgically removed?
The surgeons here arent necessarily plastic surgeons, but i cant get surgery else where since it was elective. Well on my right nipple, I developed a rather large hematoma. Got seen the next day and diagnosed with it. The surgeon here uses drains. So he advised to wait it out. The skin around has been healing rather fast. But the swelling is almost as if I still have gyno. I got the drains pulled yesterday. He advised me that the body would heal itself and no scarring or anything would happen.
Hey guys 4 weeks out gyno surgery post op, just had hematoma squeezed out & restitched back up awaiting for it to heal. However my concern is the left side which is developing a hard lump underneath the nipple in the shape of a disc, wanting a second opinion my surgeon has told me to wait it out i would prefer to get steroid injections to reduce the scar tissue. He does not administer kenalog injections.I would like to note all my bloodwork displays everything is in check! Cheers regards Val
I am 3 weeks post op, but had to have a Hematoma drained surgically a week ago. They had to reopen that whole side's incision. I still have alot of bruising on that side and a bit of swelling. the other side looks really good. I havent been vaping, but really would like to know when Im out of the woods of complications, and I can be released from restrictions like vaping, drinking, driving, running and etc.
I had VASER lipo almost 1 month ago for gynecomastia. I developed an hematoma at the 2nd wk, which was successfully aspirated with a syringe by my doc from my right side (20cc total). Otherwise no problem. I am a 45 y/o healthy and very active guy,.. how soon can I resume my exercise activities which include: Bicycling, elliptical trainer, weights. ??
I had gynecomastia surgery march 30th and received a hematoma the 3rd week (seelast post). my surgeon didn't think it was necessary to drain it. My chest still seems swollen and nipples pointy. I am wondering if the hardness I still feel and SEE in my chest like I did before surgery is going to disappear or does it look like a complication from my hematoma and recovery? I began lifting again this week however I will stop to get the right results. It has 10 weeks. 6 1/2 since hematoma
