How long before the scar tissue goes away? (Photo)

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph.  Unfortunately it is difficult to know exactly what will take place because of an inability to assess your tissues.  If the hematoma was large enough it may take several months to fully resolve, if it all.  If your tissues are still swollen from surgery this should dissipate in a few more weeks, but if there is retained glandular tissue you may need a revision surgery.  I would voice your concerns to your surgeon, they are in the best position to diagnose and treat you. Unfortunately, this really isn't something that can be diagnosed online via a photo. Your hematoma could take months to resolve. I would suggest that you schedule an appointment with your surgeon to be assessed in person. You don't want to start exercising vigorously if that is going to increase swelling. Best of luck.
