Answer: Washing after FUE Hello, Thank you for your question. Washing procedure is important part of post-op care. You have lots of scabs on your receipt area, and I expect my patients to have almost clean scalp 10 days after the surgery. I would recommend you to wash your head twice, apply shampoo, leave it for few minutes to get observed, and wash your head by massaging with finger tips. In 2-3 days your all scabs should be gone. Incase if you have moisturizer you can apply it and leave for 30 mins, and then wash. I suggest you to check with your surgeon and get advice from him as well.

Answer: Consult your doc I highly suggest you consult your doc who did your procedure about his/her suggestions. Typically I have my patients use a spray solution I prepare for them which helps it heal well without much scabbing as well as include some anti-itch and graft supporting ingredients. Then after 1 week of gentle washing I have my patients take regular showers to help remove any residual scabs. You scabbing looks quite dense and again, I suggest you consult your doc for their best recommendations at this point. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Can I wash my scabs a little harder on 10th day after FUE? We recommend that you be extra cautious around the transplant area for the first 7 to 10 days to make sure that the majority of the grafts settle. Use the spray-on shampoo that we provide with a plastic cup or something similar to rinse your hair while avoiding direct pressure from the shower head. After Day 10 you can start to wash your hair and gently wash off the scabs. A small sponge also works well for taking off the scabs without any aggressive rubbing.
