Good morning, I had two chalazions in my left eyeone that formed at the end of January and another in April. I underwent surgery for both. The first one was in June and another one in August. Now, my eyelid looks like this. My main concern is how to get rid of the lump. Sometimes both of my eyelids swell up overnight. An ophthalmologist has informed me that the chalazion is gone. I am considering purchasing OCuSOFT HypoChlor Eyelid Spray.
I (27F) started developing what I think is a chalazion ~2 weeks ago after a sick friend accidentally spit in my eye while we were talking. Ive been doing compress, steaming, massage, eye rinse, eyelid scrubs, and omega 3s, and the cyst has just gotten bigger. Now it is pressing on my eye so much that it is causing blurry vision and heavy discomfort and nausea. I know that doctors prefer to wait over 2 months to remove these, but is there any chance I can convince someone to extract this sooner?
I had a really large stye on the infected eye back in February of 2023 that really just never went away. I stopped to mind it and tried to ignore it on my eyelid. Overtime, it went down, got a chalazion like feature, and started to slowly mask away into my eyelid, looking normal again. Last night, the gland right next to my original stye, started to inflame. I noticed this immediately as my eye started to look red again and started to feel a small bump growing. Currently using Avenova Spray.
I had two unfortunate infections that affected the level/natural fold of my eyelids resulting in them now being asymmetrical. On the right eye , I had a chalazion that lasted two years although I had tried to help it by getting 2 incisions and an injection and on the other eye (left) I had an abscess that had to get lanced right under my eyebrow which made my upper eyelid heavier and by consequence is pushing my fold down and I am now considering surgery to fix the asymmetry
Have had multiple procedures as a result of problems from an I&D of chalazion which caused a peaking of my eyelid margin of LUL. This occurred three years ago and as a result i have had 2 full-thickness wedge excisions of the LUL and two ptosis surgeries. It bothers me that my left eye appears smaller and my lower eyelid has become elevated. I am just hoping for even a fifty percent improvement.
Hi, I have prom coming up and im finally getting my chalazion removed after 3 years. however, unluckily for me, the date im getting it removed just happened to be the only one available which falls 5 days before prom so i dont know if ill be able to get lash extensions or not
I have had chalasion threatment by the needle which has been used to be relieved the bump on upper eyelid. After this application, the indentation is occured on the upper eyelid. t has not been healing for 1 year. What kind of surgery do I need to be healed the indentation on upper eyelid.
I have a very small chalazion in my eye for the past 3 months now. I visited a few excellent doctors here who recommended forgetting this since nothing can be done due to its size. But sadly, my eye looks really wrinkly and dry. I have been given ointments and eye drops to avoid any eye dryness. Is this going to be forever? Is there any recommendation to cure my eyelid? I have my engagement party coming up very soon and my eyes make me look old. PS- I have done warm compresses yet no changes.
Hi I got my chalazion surgery about 7 months ago. After about a month I noticed that my eye shape changed. I had my chalazion located at the centre of my lash line and after the survey I noticed that my lash line became crooked and it lifted back. My lash line is no longer straight of aligned anymore. My eye looks more open now and I believe too much skin was removed because my eye does not close fully . My surgeon refuses to notice the difference my eye looks so lifted from the centre of my eye
Ive had a history of 2 Chalazions on the past year. The first was treated by an ocuplastic surgeon (incision and drainage on underside of left lid). I developed a notch as a result of scarring. The second Chalazion was treated conservatively using heat, Dexamethasone injections and finally 5fu. It did not respond. Finally the doctor suggested I have a full thickness biopsy to rule out SCC. It has been 4 months and my eyelid really hurts. Ive moved away from that state.
