I recently had lower blepharoplasty with a Double board certified Plastic Surgeon (mistake #1). Surgeon ruined my eyes. Now I have lower lid retraction and entropion and my eyes look so different than before In addition I have blurry vision and lashes scratching my lower left eye. I have heard that these revision surgeries can be just as bad as the original surgery. My surgeon did give me 4 5-FU injections over the course of my 6 months, but it did not make a difference. HELP!
Would a canthoplasty or canthopexy be enough to fix this mild lower lid retraction? I don't want to lengthen or shorten my eyes, I just want to tighten the lower lid and suspend my canthal tilt to a more neutral position.
I am 46 years old, I had an upper and lower Bleph with fat transfer. It's been 6 months and scars are healing but I see retraction on my lower lids. My original surgeon (Ocular Plastics) has offered to redo the fat transfer only under anesthesia. He said it would fix my lower lids but I'm concerned it will actually draw my lid down further. Is this worth trying before going to a new surgeon? My recovery was a traumatic 6 weeks and I have a very forward facing profession.
I had an upper and lower blepharoplasty done at the beginning of July just over two months ago. My upper eyelids have scarring and some puckering my lower lids have scarring and some retraction. My physicians been treating them with an injectable steroid. These procedures havent gone at all how I would expect and now Im trying to come up with some solutions. I recognize that I probably wont be able to have a surgical solution for many months, but I would like a plan.
I underwent lower blepharoplasty over 6 months ago, resulting in mild retraction to my left lower lid. The lower lid is now thick, with either persistent swelling or possibly a slight Entropion. I frequently struggle with dry eye now, both are very gritty, red and uncomfortable a large proportion of the time. Im curious as to whether this requires scar release, or whether something else is going on. Im also wondering what the risks of repair being unsuccessful or resulting in further issues.
Hello. I have to have lower eyelid retraction / entropion reconstructive surgery due to a messed up lower blepharoplasty. I do not want to go through a repair more than once! One of the surgeons I am considering uses Enduragen for grafting for tissue shaping the eyelid. I find this calming compared to the roof of my mouth since I have to do 2 eyelids and I have heard the roof of mouth is very very painful and then you have a hole. Please advise what is best for the tissue?
