I shaved my face with a 70% glycolic acid peel on it and now it looks so bad and painful. Advice? (photos)

I’m so sorry this happened to your skin. It’s important to consider using professionals when it comes to something as important (and visible!) as your face.  No matter how easy YouTube makes something look, professionals are experts because they perform these procedures thousands of times over. I am surprised you were able to obtain 70% glycolic acid - that is very, very strong and would give most people quite a burn.  You'll need to see your dermatologist for wound healing advice and I would caution you about following those "easy" YouTube videos.  Many products and procedures can cause long-lasting damage to your skin if not used under the supervision of professionals.  Hope your skin recovers well and I'm sorry this happened to you.

I have done many You Tube video to SAFELY show how to treat patients at home, because DIY treatments are on the rise. FYI even at a specialist level I NEVER ever use derma planning with such as high concentration of Glycolic. For now, wound care is essential - your epidemis is breached. See a dermatologist for abs, wound care, Heal Lite, and other methods to prevent or reduce scarring. Do this sooner rather than later, if an infection occurs due to loss of the skin barrier, this could be disastrous. Dr Lim
