I had a sample patch of CO2 laser resurfacing done on the lowest frequency, which I believe was 1.1 Its been 36 days and you can still see the laser track marks and a purple square. I see the Dr again in 1 month to further address this. Im concerned as I am olive skin and feel like this is permanent. What is going on with this mark? Is it permanent? Theyre saying its Post inflammatory Ethyrema. Not sure if this is correct? The mark will DISAPPEAR if I press it and then come right back after
I got a co2 laser about 3 months ago. Two weeks after the procedure I notice small round brown spots on my cheeks. The doctor recommended for me to continue w skinsceutical phlorentin, alastin brightening serum, retinol eod, moisturizer and sunscreen. I dont see it going away and it so frustrating. My skin looked better before. Help!
Getting Blepharoplasty and CO2 under my eye soon and I am concern about my eye lashes getting burned from the CO2. The Doctor said that she does not use any shield to protect the lashes but only for the eye itself. She said that if I loose some lashes it will grow back ! This worries me quit a bit. Is there any shield on the market I could purchase to protect my lashes ? Could I ask the Doctor to do my Blepharoplasty after the CO2 is done? so I could use a shield over my eye before skin cut ?
had procedure 6/11/18. I'm 63. Needless to say, I've not had once minute of pleasure from the 25K I've spent on the entire procedures. Doctor is very nice, and is working with me to try to solve these issues. He suggested photofacial (IPL)? My skin still burns and I'm not sure how this will help, since your capillaries come back. The thought of slapping rubber bands (what this treatment might feel like) against my burned scarred face, isn't what I want to look forward to. Any thoughts, ideas?
Dear RSelf, I got a hypertrophic scar after acid burnt. I had steroid injections 8 times but it didn't work. The first picture is my scar after 8 steroid treatments. As steroid didn't work for me, I went to another doctor to have my scar treated with laser co2. The doctor flattened my scar and extended it too. You can see in the 2nd picture. I wondered why he did it. Did he do it on purpose or was it a mistake? I'm nervous that my scar would be bigger after healing. Please help me Thanks a ton!
Hi, I had fraxel co2 laser done on friday 28th april on my surgical scars( exision scars) on my forehead. The scars were pretty thin before but now they look quite wide. I am so depressed after this! One more thing, the skin is pink. The doctor said that the pinkishness will subside within a week! But it looks as if tht portion of my skin has been burnt! The skin is also differnt in that area. What should i do?? The doctor did not also advice for any medicine to be applied after fraxel co2 laser.
Yesterday I went in for a C02 DOT Fractional Laser appointment. It's too late for me to call my doctor's office right now, but I'm a little concerned by what appears to be burn lines? Any feedback and recommendations would be appreciated. I'm a professional entertainer, I need my face to be flawless. :(
In contrast to adult wound healing, the gestational fetus has the ability to heal skin wounds without scarring. When adult skin suffers a second degree burn that reaches into the dermis layer, it generally will result in scarring. If the CO2 laser (Lutronic eCO2) leaves a second degree burn after laser resurfacing of the face, why is it that patients are not left with severe hypertrophic scarring after they heal?Doesn't burnt skin lose moisture retention abilities/sebaceous gland function?
