Is this normal? Or did I get burned by my CO2 DOT laser experience? (Photo)

Question

Yesterday I went in for a C02 DOT Fractional Laser appointment. It's too late for me to call my doctor's office right now, but I'm a little concerned by what appears to be burn lines? Any feedback and recommendations would be appreciated. I'm a professional entertainer, I need my face to be flawless. :(

this is a laser burn and needs to be treated by a well trained professional.  Whomever did this, may have not been properly trained or wasn't as meticulous as they should have been.  you need appropriate skin care at this time to prevent hyperpigmentation and scarring.  I suggest only going to an expert at this point. I wish you the best, Dr. Emer

What I'm seeing in the photos are areas where the treatment squares overlapped ( the darker red lines) and normal skin colored areas where the squares have untreated gaps between them. The good news is the DOT treatment typically heals quickly. The bad news is the areas of overlap will remain red for a longer period of time, but in the end, it should all blend well. Call your doc for reassurance and he should be able to get you through the hearing period as quickly as possible.
