What can be done for burns and scars from CO2 laser?

had procedure 6/11/18. I'm 63. Needless to say, I've not had once minute of pleasure from the 25K I've spent on the entire procedures. Doctor is very nice, and is working with me to try to solve these issues. He suggested photofacial (IPL)? My skin still burns and I'm not sure how this will help, since your capillaries come back. The thought of slapping rubber bands (what this treatment might feel like) against my burned scarred face, isn't what I want to look forward to. Any thoughts, ideas?
