Concern about lashes burning during CO2.

Question

Getting Blepharoplasty and CO2 under my eye soon and I am concern about my eye lashes getting burned from the CO2. The Doctor said that she does not use any shield to protect the lashes but only for the eye itself.She said that if I loose some lashes it will grow back ! This worries me quit a bit. Is there any shield on the market I could purchase to protect my lashes ? Could I ask the Doctor to do my Blepharoplasty after the CO2 is done? so I could use a shield over my eye before skin cut ?

you need to start latisse now (see link) and use eye growth factor and stem cells. we are VERY careful not to touch the lashes. petrolatum should be applied to them the day of surgery to protect them and anteagemd ampules with latisse appliked before and after daily.  Best, Dr. Emer.

There’s no shield to protect the lashes but they should be fine. The laser is applied just below the lashes. In very rare cases a small portion of lash might get burned but wouldnt be the whole lash and would grow back in a few weeks. It would be the thing you’d notice the least in the postop period and is unlikely to occur anyways.
