I had surgery 6 months ago to reduce from 800cc to 550. I was told my breasts would be lifted and my nipples would be a bit higher but the same size. I absolutely loved my breasts and nipples, they were just too heavy. My nipple pigmentation has decreased. I had open wounds from an infection that developed that I was initially told to use neosporin for so my scars are prominent. Surgeon told me pigment will come back & still waiting. Can my breasts be improved?
I am 5 1/2 weeks post op after a Breast lift and implants, with dissolvable stitches. I noticed a day ago I have a wound like opening on one of my Incision lines. No swelling, or pain. Does this look like a concern or can I care for this wound myself with bandages and polysporin?
Hey doctors, One nipple is perfect and the other is worrying me a little. My PS took the tapes off to air them out and put some kind of cream on them for circulation. He also recommended I put neosporin around the nipples. Should I worry or relax?
Hello! I had a crescent breast lift and breast augmentation about 3 weeks ago. Per my PS instructions , I took off the steri strips about a week ago. And I clean the wound doing the following: clean gloves and clean cotton balls/pads I use witch hazel, followed by hydrogen peroxide and then gently apply Neosporin. I wear cotton support bras to let the wound breathe but when I go to work , I place a little cotton pad between my nipples and the bra. Am I causing the little hole? What could it be?
The past two days I noticed this pimple and I thought it would go away but it popped and now I have a tiny hole. I think I got all the gunk out. Yuck. What do I do now? Should I sterilize it with peroxide and then apply neosporin and gauze? I hope this doesnt happen with all the sutures. Im very squeamish and I prefer not to see small deep holes in my body. How many of these spitting sutures are expected?
I took the rest of my tapes off today because they have been very irritating and itchy and when I woke up I had some drainage that I have not previously had. I now realized that it was a blister that formed under the steri strips. I am not sure if I should keep it clean and dry or if I should put neosporin on it? I am also wondering if it will heal the same color as my areola as it was before the blistering or darker or lighter?
My recovery from BL BA has been unremarkable. Incisions look good - had one spitting stitch a week ago but otherwise fine. Today I notice a hole that is a tad [RS bleep] under on breast in the verticals incision. My doctor blew me off as it was evening and 'not an emergency ' but a hole opening in my body is an emergency to me. He said neosporin twice a day but didn't want to see me - is this normal??
A week after a full breasts lift, with implants (470cc and 325cc) plus a mini tummy tuck, my right breast started oozing and looked like the stitches were no longer present. I went in to office and had covering and gauze dressing to keep on for 5 days. After see pic below. Nurse said put neosporin and gauze on it while air it out for 20-30 min. I'm worried I will have permanent damage. Is this the best course of treatment or ahould I go back in to see the doctor tomorrow?
It's been 4 weeks since I had my breast augmentation and lift. Week 3 I started to notice I wasn't healing at the incision site. Now it's starting to feel like a hole and is getting a bit bigger then when I first noticed it. It has drainage everyday and has become a little sensitive. I been doing wound care. Keeping it clean and dry and putting neosporin with a gauze 2-3 times a day. Anything I should be worried about? Is this normal?
