Bruising or necrosis on nipple? I am 3 days post augmentation mastopexy. (Photos)

I understand your concern. Your nipple must be closely monitored and make sure no further complications arise. You should follow your plastic surgeon's post operative wound care management instructions.

If you are concerned, it is best that you visit your plastic surgeon to have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

Thank you for submitting your questions!  I am sorry that you are having this postoperative issue.  According to your photos, for the most part it appears that you are healing well from surgery.  However, you will need to keep a close eye on the darkened areas around the areola.  If these are small areas of skin necrosis, you will need to perform wound care to this area until it is healed so that you do not develop an infection.  Your plastic surgeon can follow  you closely to make sure you are healing well.  Good luck with your recovery and thanks again for your inquiry. 

Seems like your operative PS is doing correct treatments for these N/A issues. Best to ask for closer follow up appointments with him/her. 

This can happen and from the looks of it it is a combination of bruising and marginal blood flow but in the end I think all will be fine.

you most likely have bruising however it is a little early to determine necrosis. this should heal either way with would care and should not be a major issue. Discuss this with your surgeon .
