I Got My BA not long ago and soon realised i want my implants out (205 ccs, started from almost nothing). What worries me regarding explant is aesthetic part since muscles will not be reattached. Do deformities occur always or is it possible to regain normal appearance (either when muscle is relaxed or flexd)?.
Answer: Do deformities always occur? Hello, thank you for your question. It is completely understandable to have concerns about the aesthetic outcomes of explant surgery. Please see the attached video that answers your question specifically in detail. Ultimately, while deformities can occur, they are not a certainty. Many women report being pleased with their results after the adjustment period. Make sure to do thorough research and communicate openly with your surgeon about your goals and concerns.

Answer: Implant removal Dear Diligent327739, it is hard to tell for sure, but since your BA surgery was recently, there is high chance that your breast will return to pre-surgery shape and size. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: ¿Do deformities occur always or is it possible to regain normal appearance? Hi @Diligent327739, thank you for your question. The pectoralis muscle generally has the ability to return to its state in a short time. When breast surgery is performed and part of the breast is placed behind the muscle while the rest is placed outside the muscle, when an aesthetic reconstruction is performed (Rearrangement of the breast tissue to give projection to the breast with BRALAN technique), unless there is a pathology that prevents this from happening or a rupture or something special, the muscle can make the contraction again and stay in place. My preference is to combine breast implant removal with immediate repositioning of the breast tissue to address the projection of the upper pole and medial areas using the BRALAN Technique (Breast Reconstruction Anatomical Lift Augmentation) as the results will be adequate and have a minimal L-shaped scar. If you are thinking of having a breast lift, consultation with a plastic surgeon with experience in this procedure is essential to ensure optimal results. Best regards. Alan Gonzalez MD, FACS. Answer: Surgery For most women, the muscles are close to normal, although you may have still more noticeable flexing. Your skin and breast tissue has been stretched some and may not look like before surgery.

Answer: Deformities No, animation deformities do not always occur when implants are removed. With the conservatively sized implants that you have and the information provided that your surgery was not that long ago, you will likely not have issues if you choose to have them removed. I encourage you to speak with your surgeon about your concerns.
