Am I a candidate for a neck lift without a facelift?
Answer: Am I a candidate for a neck lift without a facelift. Yes, but it also depends on how you feel about your jowls. Most of the patients I do a MyEllevate necklift on look like you, early jowls, mild to moderate platysma banding and neck laxity. You appear relatively early in the jowl development, so I would suspect you would by satisfied with necklift alone, as the focus is certainly on the wrinkling and laxity of the neck. MyEllevate is a non-incision suture suspension neck lift. It is usually accompanied with Precision laser skin tightening, and if there is a component of excess fat, then, in addition, liposuction is done. The procedure is not the equivalent of a surgical face and neck lift, but can give improvement of the cervicomental angle more than can sometimes be obtained with liposuction with or without laser skin tightening alone. Greater and lesser degrees of neck laxity will influence how much improvement is obtained. The main criterion for a good outcome is how much skin laxity there is, and this is often associated with aging. Patients who have less laxity to begin with look tighter and have a better neck angle and appearance, than patients who are getting jowls and have more laxity. The procedure is done with local anesthesia in the office operating room. After surgery, there is an anterior neck dressing held in place by a Velcro head wrap. This wrap is left on for three days. Also, a cervical collar is worn during that time, as a reminder to keep the chin up, and worn for another week whenever there may be a tendency to look down, as in reading and eating. A feeling of tightness usually lasts about two weeks. Progressive skin tightening and smoothing of the skin occurs over the next several weeks, with skin tightening continuing for six months.

Answer: Neck tuck is definitely needed is this case. Most often a lower face/neck lift together is the best option but sometimes just a neck lift alone can make the problem area look good enough. Cost is roughly $8500 for quality work and is best done under local with a little iv sedation for complete comfort.

Answer: Facial Aging Isn’t Isolated—Here’s Why a Lift Shouldn’t Be Either Thank you, When we speak about facial rejuvenation, it’s important to remember that aging is a comprehensive process — it doesn’t happen in isolated areas. Skin, muscle, and fat all shift together over time, and the most natural, harmonious results come when we approach the face and neck as one unified structure. Lifting only one area can sometimes create an imbalance — the corners of the eyes and mouth may not align with the rejuvenated features, and a neck lift alone often lacks the deeper support needed for long-lasting refinement. To truly elevate and support the neck, for example, the lift must extend in a seamless, en bloc manner — anchoring into the stronger midface for stability, like building a beautiful home on a solid foundation. Think of it like a carefully crafted construction project: when the base is tight, strong, and thoughtfully reinforced, everything above it can stand gracefully for years to come. True harmony in facial rejuvenation comes from treating the face as a whole — honoring the deep connections between its features.

Answer: Am I a candidate for a neck lift without a facelift? More Information is needed, such as your age, and a full set of facial and neck photographs in a chin neutral position from all angles to make the best determination about how to proceed. In our practice, a neck lift procedure does not remove any skin, just removal of the fat compartments above and below the platysma muscle in addition to a platysma plasty to significantly improve the jawline. When there is significant laxity in the neck, you're going to require a lower face and neck lift procedure to address skin laxity.
