Uneven under eyes after Restylane? 22 days after (Photo)

Question

I had Restyline ( 0.5 syringe under each eye) 3 weeks ago and it is not what I expected as result. It looks uneven and under left eye I had some swelling initially, but hoped it will go away by now. It looks like I have double bags. It looks smoother in the morning, but later during the day it looks like this. I saw doctor a week ago, she said to wait 2 more weeks to see if all swelling will go away and do another injection in my cheeks. Would it help? Spending another $750 is not what I wanted.

Hi @beccabeauty. I'm sorry you are not happy with your results.  Hyaluronic acid facial filler products that were previously injected into an improper tissue plane can be dissolved by hyaluronidase injections. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!

Thank you for sharing your question. The lower eyelids are not very forgiving when it comes to injections of fillers. Only experienced doctors should perform your treatments in this delicate area. You should have the product dissolved by the injector and see an Oculoplastic Surgeon for the next treatment. I hope this helps.Good luck,

A few issues! #1. Uneven edema could lasts a few months or uneven amounts injected should have been corrected at 2 weeks post. #2. You might have not been a great candidate and are expecting to much resultant change. Maybe a little micro BOTOX injections to smooth the wrinkling could help?. #3. The fee paid of $750 sounds high? #4. You might need lowered blepharoplasty.
