Did my lift fail? Will it happen again? Is removing the excess skin an adequate solution? (Photos)

I am 27 5‘5 and 200 pounds. A year ago I had a lollipop lift with implants after I lost about 40 pounds. 560CC silicone under the muscle. I initially loved my results but by month 4 I could see where my implant stopped and my natural tissue started. A year later and this hasn’t improved. I am scheduled for a revision to remove more skin from the lower pole and make things tighter. My concern is this is going to happen again. Is removing the excess skin an adequate solution? Or should I be getting a second option elsewhere before going back under the knife? I do not have any kids as of yet but plan on them in the future.
