Hi! I recently got a BBL and I love my results expect even one day post op & still now I would like even more hips & more butt so I am considering doing a round 2. My doctor got my stomach almost completely flat but he told me I might have to consider a tummy tuck later on or a round 2 BBL. so considering the fact that my stomach is almost completely flat (and still swollen) and my butt and hips are not as big as I want them should I be working out before the #2 or gaining weight?
Answer: Should you workout or gain weight before round 2 BBL? (Photo) Having the BBL done a second time is an option as long as you have enough fat to be transferred. The revision implies that there is less fat than the first time, and scar tissue will make the surgery much more difficult on the surgeon. The percentage of fat survival in the BBL the second time should be about the same. You need to wait at least three months between the first and second BBL. Gaining weight is often counterproductive. If you gain weight that is fat, some of the fat will likely be associated with the buttocks. In almost every case, I do not recommend weight gain prior to a BBL. I think it is better to maintain your stable weight. For most patients strenuous activity can be resumed 6 weeks post op. Squats and lunges after BBL will increase muscle bulk and definition, which is probably a good thing if you are looking to achieve a more projected, lifted buttock. However, just make sure that the body fat percentage is held in check or you will lose some of the fat.

Answer: BBL revision Dear tpow12, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process. You will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery. Answer: Weight gain for second BBL I’m glad you’re pleased with your early results. Please give us three months to see you with your final results look like. A minimum of six weeks is required before even making any early assessments. I’m glad you are pleased with your early results. Please give us three months to see what your final results look like. A minimum of six weeks is required before even making any early assessments. Immediately after surgery patients have not re-absorbed any fat, or full of numbing solution and intense swelling. I don’t recommend anybody gain weight for fat transfer procedures. Most likely you will see an increase visceral fat composition giving you a large or Abdomen. A better option is to go after areas not previously treated like arms, inner thighs. Often plastic surgeons don’t treat the back high enough or include the under arm area. If this is insufficient then you can have secondary liposuction on the areas already treated. In reality this is all stuff you should be discussing with your plastic surgeon since you have one and you were happy with his results. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
