Does Jeuveau last longer than Botox or Dysport in a first time patient?

I hate my results from the Jeuveau treatment I received to forehead & brows on February 15th. It has been three months and I still look bad. Will I return to normalcy exactly at the 4th month mark or does Jeuveau unfortunately last longer than typical? First time I received any kind of neurotoxin . Thank you.

Hello there, thank you for your question. Most neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Jeuveau, Xeomin) have similar durations. Think of the duration of toxin as more of an arc, it doesn’t lose its effectiveness all at once. On average you can expect the following: Days ~1-14: toxin begins to take effect.Weeks ~2-6: peak effectiveness, least amount of movement.Weeks ~6-16: movement slowly begins returning to baseline. Most patients will have full return of movement, to baseline, anywhere between 4-6 months. But that can vary from patient to patient depending on individual metabolism and other factors. Additionally, first time toxin procedures seem to last a little longer than the average times for some patients, but it has nothing to do with with which brand of the aforementioned toxins was used. Thank you for your question. Duration depends on the dose given. For most standard doses, it should last about 3-4 months. For people who metabolize it slowly, it may last a little longer, but it will wear off eventually.

I'm sorry you are unhappy with your treatment.  Juveau should not typically last longer than the other neuromodulators.  Most gradually wear off over three to four months, although it varies by patient.
