Is this normal after lip injections?

Swelling, bruising and tenderness can be typical. Icing and cold compresses may give improvement. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

Thank you for your question.I would stay patient. The swelling may take a little longer to go down because you have had it done before. There may be old filler in there, that is causing little pockets of swelling. I usually tell patients to give it a week before they make any decisions.

You still have some healing time left. You can help your lips by finger roll massaging them three to four times daily for the next week or so. If  you don't see provement by then, speak to your treating physician.

All of the symptoms you are experiencing are normal and very common with lip fillers. You should wait a full two weeks before assessing whether you are satisfied with the final result. You can use ice packs to help the swelling subside. Be sure to contact your provider and he/she may suggest that you massage the lips to alleviate the bumpy areas. If you are still unhappy after the two weeks, make an appointment to see your provider and they can discuss potential solutions, which may including using hyaluronidase to dissolve the filler.
