I'm on day 5 after having my upper lip injected for a gummy smile. 6 units total. I have ZERO weird or uncomfortable sensation that I was told I would definitely have. It appears, from pictures, that my upper lip has lowered some. Does it just take longer to "kick in" around the mouth? Basically, because I have no weird sensation, I'm feeling like this didn't work and am left wondering, should I have them do just a tiny bit more? Obviously I'll wait the full two weeks to see final results.

It sounds all great but it is not at all good. The treatment is freezing and dropping muscles that you absolutely need to have working. It is extremely dysphoric and debilitating to have these muscles frozen with botox. Unfortunately it will take months for this effect to wear off.
From the photo it appears the asymmetry could be improved with filler. If desired a small amount of Botox could be added if the asymmetry correction is not sufficient with HA fillers. Be sure to see an expert injector for your treatment.
