Areola reduction after having a vertical breast lift - can I reduce chances of areola stretching?

I had a breast lift to correct my tuberous breasts. I like the shape of my breasts now, but my surgeon left my areolas quite large. I specifically chose the vertical lift because of complications with areola stretching when a donut lift is done. If I go in and do an areola revision, will the vertical scar from my original lift take off the tension and reduce the chances of the areola stretching?

Hi there, It depends on your anatomy- if you have enough skin laxity, these potentially could be done together. But if you have minimal excess skin, doing the two procedures at the same time might cause the scar to widen and for you to have a subpar result. Sincerely, Safa Sharabi
