Is it possible to have an areola reduction while leaving in existing implants?

Hi, I could not find anything online and was wondering if it’s possible to do an areola reduction while keeping my existing breast implants. I had the Implants put in back in 2023 So I dont want to swap them out just yet.

YES, diminishing areola size (diameter, area, and circumference) is a skin only procedure performed in the office under local anesthesia.  Your implants need not be involved.

Thank you for posting your question here!It is very common to perform areolar reduction after placement of breast implants , and you don't have to exchange them if you do not have any issues with them. your surgeon does not have to access the implant pocket when doing an areolar reduction so the implants will remain isolated and safe. Most surgeons will place a permanent internal suture though around the areola to help prevent future spreading of the areola.
