Am I a candidate for a rhinoplasty? I believe my nose projects out too far from certain side angles. I like how it looks straight on, but from some sides it looks too long for my face. I had a gore-tex chin implant put in 7 years ago and I feel its shrunk as the years have gone by. Do you recommend swapping out the chin implant for a larger one? Thanks
Answer: No chin or rhinoplasty needed You have an excellent profile. It is not worth the risk to get minimal improvement. I would advise against rhinoplasty and/or chin implant revision. Regards Dr. J

Answer: Keeping Proportion between the Nose and Chin: What You Need to Know Thank you for providing a photo along with your question. While rhinoplasty can successfully alter nose tip projection, it is still a complex procedure. A surgeon will need to see your nose, profile, and neck contour from different angles to make a proper assessment. The same applies to your chin. While implants, particularly silicone ones, can be removed or replaced, a proper visual examination is necessary to determine if you need a larger implant. I recommend an in-person consultation with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon to determine if you are a candidate for your desired procedures and to achieve the best results possible.

Answer: Nose chin slightly nasal dorsal bump. If you want your nasal dorsum may be done more concave curved. Your nasal tip looks like bulbous. From this photo your chin is not visible fully. Good day. You can do a counsultation request for the examination. good day.

Answer: Who is a candidate for rhinoplasty surgery You appear to have a lovely side profile, and I would not recommend exchanging your chin implant. I would not be able to comment with certainty regarding your nose unless I examined you in person, because there does appear to be a subtle amount of overprojection, yet every surgery carries risks. That said, I do quite often perform very subtle rhinoplasty surgery on patients who have minor details that they wish to improve. The decision for me to go forward with such cases is quite individual, and it varies with each patient and their own anatomical configuration.

Answer: Rhinoplasty and profile balance Thank you for your question and sharing your photo. The projection of the nose tip needs to be analysed in relation to the appearance from the front view, the characteristics of the skin and the quality of the nasal airway. Reduction in the tip projection can lead to the impression that the tip of the nose is wider from the front view, in particular when the skin is moderately thick or thick. Further reduction in tip projection can be achieved with added contouring to the nasal tip cartilages but a consultation with a rhinoplasty surgeon would be more valuable than assessment on photographs. The chin projection appears to be relatively good and since the neck contour is not visible in the photograph it is difficult to make a comprehensive assessment. In some instances reduction of volume under the chin is more favourable as it creates the impression that the chin projection is stronger. This may not be of any benefit in your case but cannot be evaluated in this photo. You also need to be careful regarding the projection of the chin on the three-quarter view so computer imaging and simulation in 3D would be a powerful help with your decision process.
