If you're seeing and feeling an indentation along your nasal bridge, fillers may be considered to camouflage it's appearance. Depending on your examination, microdroplet Silikon-1000 may be considered for permanent results. Hope this helps you. Dr Joseph

Will an open roof get worse after five years? I think whatever change has occurred by five years out is finished and will not worsen. In fact the slight outward drift of the left nasal bone probably occurred during the first year but the scar tissue that formed after surgery under the skin and in between the bone and septum camouflaged the slight open roof. As the scar tissue resolved the gap became more obvious. I don’t think any further widening occurred in the past few years and I am fairly certain that no further widening will occur going forward. If your skin gets thinner the slight gap that is already there may become more obvious.

Hi there -This will not in essence 'worsen' with age, but the overlying skin and soft tissue will gradually thin over time, and might make the contour more apparent by feel and visually. You can always address it then should it occur. Filler is not a great long term solution. The bone on the left can be re-broken (under anaesthesia) in order to help close the gap, likely in combination with the addition of some crushed cartilage form the ear. You can also just leave it well alone!
