I live in the Austin area and will be getting this procedure with in the next 6 months. I m willing to travel if the anticipated treatment results and cost are more favorable. What would an estimated total out the door cost be for the combined treatments? What is the recovery time and pain scale for these? I have attached pictures. Would I be a good candidate?
Answer: Rhinoplasty and chin implant, recovery and cost: Rhinoplasty and chin implant, recovery and cost: The cost for these procedures very dramatically from state to state and within a state from the city to the suburbs, and from surgeon to surgeon. My own cost for a straightforward primary rhinoplasty including the surgeons fee the surgical facility the anesthesia and postop visits is $10,000. Nine out of 10 people say that the pain after a rhinoplasty is minimal and many say that they have not even taken the prescribed pain med, or just have taken Tylenol in its place. A chin augmentation generally hurts more, and patients will probably take a pain med for the first two or three days postop. There will also be some discomfort after that When chewing but usually not enough to require a pain medication. The combine cost for the Rhinoplasty and chin implant would be about $15,000 in my case including the surgeons fee ,the surgical facility the anesthesia, the implant, the pre-and post op visits and follow up care. You appear to be a good candidate for a Rhinoplasty. Your chin does appear slightly weak but not extremely so. You could get away with fillers temporarily for the chin, but a more permanent result would be a chin implant. Bear in mind that making the nose smaller will make the chin appear slightly better . If cost is a significant factor you may want to do just the Rhinoplasty and see if the chin looks better with the smaller nose. If the chin looks only slightly too small you may wish to try fillers. There are fillers which could last 2, 3,or more years. But if none of that is adequate, then a chin implant is the next step.

Answer: Are you a candidate for rhinoplasty? Thank you for your question and photos. Based on these images, it appears you have a dorsal hump, and the most effective and permanent method to treat it is with rhinoplasty. Your chin also appears slightly weak, and I think you can benefit from chin augmentation. I recommend an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon to determine if you’d make a good candidate. Your surgeon should not only be able to perform an accurate assessment of your profile but successfully perform the complex procedures and achieve the best possible outcome. Also, only after the assessment and examination can a surgeon provide an estimate of how much a procedure will cost. Should you move forward with your procedures, you can expect to take off about 1-2 weeks from work or school to allow your nose and chin to heal.

Answer: NOSE + CHIN Hi. Crooked nose, irregular nasal dorsal aesthetic lines, nasal dorsal bump. Chin implant may be done. With actual devices like pieso , microsaws and power instruments less pain, edema and echimososis are possible. We are using such instruments. So I think rhinoplasty and chin implant may be done. Good day.

Answer: Rhinoplasty and chin augmentation Thank you for your questions and sharing your photographs. The combination of procedures that you are describing can significantly change the balance of the profile and the rhinoplasty procedure typically softens the features. Looking at the profile contour, my impression is that a deep plane neck lift procedure may offer some advantages compared to the chin augmentation. Your jawline contour is relatively good but the contour of the neck has some genetic determinations and I suspect that at least one of your parents has a very similar configuration irrespective of body weight. As such, liposuction is also likely to have the relatively limited impact because the volume excess in a situation like yours is predominantly deep to the platysma muscles. If the neck volume is reduced in the upper half, the chin appears to be considerably stronger and you can evaluate this in a computer simulation. There are several surgeons in your area that offer this type of procedure and I think you owe it to yourself to explore the option before committing to surgery. Pain related to these types of surgery tends to be moderate and the recovery period is usually around 2 weeks.

Answer: Rhinoplasty with chin Chin implant. What is the recovery time and pain scale? A closed rhinoplasty approach can accomplish shaving down the dorsal hump, narrowing and straightening the bridge line, with all incisions placed on the inside of the nose. Also important to release the depressor septi ligament which dynamically pulls the nose down when smiling. In our practice, we place chin implants through a small incision underneath the chin which can be performed simultaneously under one anesthesia. Anticipate two weeks of visible bruising and swelling for both procedures, and a cast applied across the bridge of nose for one week. This procedures are not painful, just uncomfortable, and most patients take just a couple of pain pills the first night or two after the surgery to help get some sleep. Digital computer imaging of your nose and chin would be helpful to understand what can be accomplished with both procedures upon your facial features.
