Do you recommend Halo with BBL or Clear and Brilliant with BBL? (Photos)

Halo by sciton offers a hybrid laser—meaning two wavelengths at the same treatment, one ablative and one not ablative.  The results we have had in our clinic are amazing, with no complications and very little downtime. Adding BBL to the Halo treatment improves the results.  Your physician should go over your goals, as there are several treatment options, varying in aggressiveness and coverage.  Although we have had many clients get the results they desire with only 1 treatment, many opt for 2.  Always be wary of the “one and done” approach.  A successful skin care regimen will require many steps and ongoing treatments, however, Halo will be the most likely to get you the results you desire in the least amount of treatments.  Halo is definitely not “overkill”.  Halo treatments are adjustable and can be customized to fit your needs.

While I don’t use clear and Brilliant in my office, I’ve treated many patients who have had multiple Clear and Brilliant treatments before with Halo and the results have been dramatically better after a single Halo. Halo has more downtime but you are usually able to use some cover up by day 3 and be back to work. BBL and Halo together are a great way to address freckles, fine lines and pore size. I like to use Amniotic membrane after Halo to enhance the regenerative process and accelerate the healing. 

Both Halo and Clear and Brilliant are very good lasers. Halo settings offer more skin coverage - at its least coverage Halo treats 5% of the skin while clear and brilliant is 2-3 %. Halo is a hybrid of non-ablative and ablative lasrs while clear and brilliant is only non-ablative. Most patients see excellent results with 1-2 Halo treaments while more clear and brilliant treatments are needed. We are a bit biased as we worked on the development of Halo but most would agree that Halo is more aggressive then clear and brilliant. Surprisingly, Halo has very minimal downtime. Adding BBL enhances the Halo result with no downtime change.
