how does the coagulation laser work ? does it tear damage down ? or make new healthy growth take place ?
Answer: HALO Hello there, Thank you for your question regarding the HALO Hybrid Fractional Resurfacing Laser. Halo is the only device on the market that is able to utilize two wavelength's at the same time, with minimal downtime. It would be comparable to getting two treatments at the same time! The 2940 component is an ablative laser that will vaporize tissue on the epidermis to improve the overall texture as well as lift colour, improve pores and smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, leaving an overall reflective glow to the skin. The term used is the "Halo Glow". The 1470 portion targets the Dermis to coagulates tissue, which is utilizing heat to remodel the skin. This will improve skin density and provide volume to the skin, improving scars, giving the skin a more youthful appearance. This is one of the best lasers on the market for a more overall youthful appearance!

Answer: Benefits of Hubrid Fractional Laser Thank you for your question. The 1470 wavelength component of the Halo Hybrid laser is a non-ablative, coagulative laser capable of treating deeper layers of the skin to replace scarrred tissue such as acne scars as well as restore the youthful elasticity if the skin that is lost with aging. The 2940 wavelength component of Halo, is an ablative treatment to erase fine lines and wrinkles, create uniform tone and texture and shrink pore size. There is no better way to rejuvenate the face and bring back or maintain a youthful glow.

Answer: HALO coagulation effect HALO is an amazing, state of the art, hybrid fractional laser. This means it is treating you with two laser wavelengths at once, maximizing results while minimizing healing time. Coagulation is heat and the coagulation is what will help tighten and contract skin, thereby lessening fine lines and wrinkles. The ablation portion is planing down layers of older skin cells to let the healthy new skin shine through. Good luck to you.

Answer: Non ablative coag. on HALO The deeper wavelength or NON ABLATIVE is the 1470 nm wavelength, this goes to .7 mm or 7 times the depth of the erbium or ABLATIVE component. Erbium has very little coagulation properties compared to CO2 and even at 100 microns, is relative shallow compared to the PROFRACTIONAL laser component of Scition. This goes 14 times, yes it can penetrate up to 1.4-1.5 mm into your skin. This component of ProFaction has a coag. function. Getting back to HALO the NA component is the one that in theory will stimulate collagen - there are better lasers for scar remodelling, however this laser is designed for SKIN REJUVENATION, namely repair of old collagen, and stimulation of fibroblast superficially. It is not meant for sever solar damage, nor extensive static wrinkles. HALO is a low downtime, gentle rejuvenation laser. If you do require more collagen remodelling, low density Co2 or better still RF Microneedling with PRP can be added to HALO, this will give you BOTH superficial and deep remodelling. Always approach rejuvenation with a goal, and your dermatologist or plastics will customise a plan based upon your downtime, and skin type. All the best, Dr Davin S. Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
