Good morning, I got shingles 5 months ago, resulting hypertrophic scars below my nose and next to my lips. I have been treating these scars with microneedle (once a month, did it 4 times already) followed by steroid injections. The discoloration has improved, but not the bumps. I am about to do halo laser, will it work to flatten the bumps? Any other solutions? Should I continue with the injection? my concern is, too much injection is not good. Thank you.

Thank you for your question. Your Halo results seem to be right on schedule based on your photos. You can get right up to the lash line with a Corneal Shield in. With no shields in, one must stay below the orbital bone. Best of luck to you!
The deeper wavelength or NON ABLATIVE is the 1470 nm wavelength, this goes to .7 mm or 7 times the depth of the erbium or ABLATIVE component. Erbium has very little coagulation properties compared to CO2 and even at 100 microns, is relative shallow compared to the PROFRACTIONAL laser component ...
I agree with my colleagues below. You appear to have hyper pigmented in these areas. Follow up with your provider. Often a topical hydroquinone can help to fade theses. Your provider should have a protocol in place to treat this issue. Best of luck to you!
