I had chin lipo done Aug 19, 2021. From the beginning I noticed one side had more fat left over than the other. Now that I’m healed up I see lumps and bumps, unevenness, lines, etc. my surgeon said he can do a revision to take off a little more fat around my jaw line but I’m nervous it’s going to look worse. What would you recommend? Leaving as is? Or doing the revision?
Answer: A revision can be done for this. Recommend following revision with Morpheus8 and Ultherapy to enhance results Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Chin Contouring with VASER, ThermiRF, Coolsculpting, Kybella, Thermage, Ultherapy, Exilis, J plasma/Renuvion/Inmode BodyTite I find that VASER liposuction in combination with Renuvion or ThermiRF are best for contouring the chin in those who are candidates, but Kybella can be used as an alternative and gets better results when combined with Thermage/Ultherapy/Exilis, TruSculpt iD, or Coolsculpting. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Chin liposuction Dear kristaMH, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Uneven Liposuction returns In my opinion Revision work is more difficult then primary Liposuction. If a provider can’t get their results right the first time other than maybe feeding to be a little more aggressive then I typically don’t have much faith that they not only do not have the skills to do the revision but there is a increased risk of making things worse. Did vantage of staying with the same provider as they often offer revisions for free or at a discounted rate compared to starting over with a new provider. The results you’ve shown are not ones that look like results from someone who has mastered Liposuction. In the end you were the one who has to make the decision if you have enough faith in the provider to do the revision, it’s better to leave things alone or you should go have a few in person consultations with other plastic surgeons in your community. Delivering consistent high-quality Liposuction results is more difficult than people think and I continuously emphasize the importance of choosing the most talented and experienced provider in each persons community to minimize undesirable outcomes. Good luck in your decision making. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
