Thanks for the question, a lot of time when someone has persistent headaches after surgery its because they are dehydrated. You may want to focus on getting a lot more water in. In terms of swellings in the arms it depends on the type of compression and where the incisions are. I find that the incisions at the elbows vs the armpit allow for less swelling. Good idea to call your doc!
