Line in my lower back after liposuction? 3 weeks post-op. (photos)

So I had liposuction on my abdomen/waist/flanks area about 2 1/2 almost 3 weeks ago. I know that I’m still swollen but there is this line on my lower back that I’m afraid is just not going to go away. I have been massaging it everyday and also taking Bromelain and nothing seems to be making it diminish. And some days looks worse than others! I guess I just need clarification on if this is just swelling and will this line eventually go away. I inserted pics of my back before and my back now!

Thanks for the question, we all have lines, folds, and creases which are 100% normal. It looks like you had some evidence of this before surgery. If it is just your anatomy there is a chance it may not go away 100%. That being said you have beautiful anatomy and skin and in my opinion look amazing!

If you a re unhappy with your results please speak to your physician and ensure he was a full body VASER HD liposuction physciain wtih expensive experience in body shaping and not just traditional fat reduction.  You should have had internal heating at the same time with renuvion or inmode BodyTite to ensure more tightening.   you had this line to begin with, which is looser skin.  At this point you  should be. using compression, RF treatments like venus legacy and exilis, and lymphatic massage to get you through healing. If you do not do t his type of scarring  can  be permanent.  It will take 6-12 months to see the final outcome.  If you are unhappy you can get a revision procedure by an expert.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Hello thank you for your question and photos. Your final results are not visible until after the 90 day mark. If you are concerned about the appearance of your lower back, please make sure to adhere to a strict compression regiment, paying close attention to the small of your back. You can add maxi pads, or extra foms to your back board to ensure you heal with that nice lower back slope. The swelling of the lower back usually takes the longest to resolve, which is why compression is key.

You are still early on the healing process, it can take up to 6 months to see your final results, so please be patient. At the stage you're in, swelling is very normal and probably what is causing the issue. If you have any concerns, I suggest you to follow up close with your plastic surgeon.
