Thanks for your questions. BodyTite is an excellent option to treat the arms. Liposuction is typically performed along with BodyTite, so some bruising is possible. Recovery with this procedure is typically short as most of the significant swelling and discomfort is resolved within a week (depends on how much liposuction is performed). My patients typically wear compression for 2-3 weeks and have some exercise limitations for 3-4 weeks.
Bruising and swelling can occur after BodyTite and will usually resolve in a few weeks. Typically, you can return to sedentary activities within two to three days; full activity with exercise, within two to three weeks. If you have liposuction with BodyTite, a compression garment is typically recommended.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
There is lesser risk of bruising with liposuction with Bodytite than with liposuction alone. Garments are worn for 6 weeks regularly followed by 6 weeks only at night. This is my garment protocol for arms. Other areas of the body require varying length of time for use of garments.Regards, Dr. Ravi Somayazula Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery- American Board of Medical Specialties Member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS)- Subcommittee Task Force on Patient Safety Member of the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) Member of the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons, Houston Society of Plastic Surgeons, Harris County Medical Society
Hi There Thank you for your excellent question. We have probably performed more bodytite procedures on arms than anybidy else in the world. There are a number of factors tgat determine how long the garment is worn but most often 3 weeks is sufficient.Kind Regards and Best WishesDr Dinesh Maini Zenith Cosmetic Clinics Nottingham & Harley St, London 01159596999
I like the combination of BodyTite and PAL for arm lifts because it can be done with a 3mm incision and there is no downtime. I had a patient return to work which included traveling for meetings. I had her use compressive sleeves. Once they loosened up after a week or so we sent her a smaller compression sleeve set. It is a game changer for my practice in terms of offering arm lifts to patients.
BodyTite is a very effective option to treat arms. The combination of BodyTite and liposuction can produce some bruising, but this is mild and temporary. Recovery typically depends of the type of activities you will be resuming. Exercise should be delayed for about 10-14 days. Work activities that are require minimal physical activity can be resumed in a few days whereas jobs with more physical demands may require more time.
Thank you for your question. BodyTite is usually combined with some form of liposuction unless you are strictly going for skin tightening. It is very possible that you could experience some bruising so you have to assume it would happen. Our patients wear compression garments for a minimum of two weeks following their procedure.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.
Dear Silyplum, I'm certain it must be uncomfortable, if not scary, to experience numbness and swelling months after the BodyTite procedure. This can occur, to some extent, in about a third of patients. If liposuction contouring is performed simultaneously, that number can bump up to...

It takes at least 3 months to start seeing results and a year to see full effects from bodytite. Some tightening happens immediately from shrinking of the connective tissue but most of the effect will be seen over time as the body generates new healthy collagen and elastin fibers....
