Bodytite is a radio-frequency treatment which serves to tighten skin. This accomplished by subdermal heating of the collagen fibers which can cause tightening as well as stimulate fibroblast activity for collagen deposition. This can be combined with liposuction (but does not necessarily need to be). The fat removal component is no different than traditional liposuction. For those patients with excess fat in the absence of skin laxity Bodytite does not necessarily hold an advantage over more traditional liposuction. However, in patients with laxity or in whom there is a concern for worsening laxity post liposuction, a radio-frequency tightening will help.It can take 3-4 months for a result to become apparent following BodyTite. The result is progressive and contraction will continue for upwards of 12 months. In the interim, strict adherence to compression regimen/recommendations will help in achieving your best result. As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).
Thank you for your question. Most people begin to see results several weeks after a BodyTite procedure. However, it takes up to 6 months to see the full results as collagen is produced over time. Please consult your provider and always seek treatment from a from a board-certified dermatologist.
For BodyTite you will see results at varying times during your recovery. You will see the slimming result after BodyTite combined with liposuction in the first few weeks after the swelling improves. You will also see some tightening within a month that will continue to improve over the course of 6-12 months. Your optimum result is at about the 1 year mark.
Unfortunately, the effects of BodyTite are not immediate. You will see some results from the fat reduction relatively quickly, but it typically takes a while for your body to make collagen and tighten the tissue. I encourage patients before surgery to be patient after surgery since it may take 12 months before you see your final result.
BodyTite is a great, minimally invasive technology that uses radiofrequency to promote the tightening of skin. In combination with liposuction, it can greatly improve the contour of your body. Most of the swelling and soreness from the BodyTite technology will begin to go away after a few weeks, but it may take up to 3 months for all of the swelling and healing to be complete and for you to see your final result. Please visit a board certified plastic surgeon to see if you would be an ideal candidate for BodyTite.
Hello! As noted in some of the below answers, it takes up to a year for the collagen formation to complete healing and fully form. We take photos of most of my patients at 6 weeks (results evident), 3 months (results even better) and a year ('end' result).Best of luck!
It takes at least 3 months to start seeing results and a year to see full effects from bodytite. Some tightening happens immediately from shrinking of the connective tissue but most of the effect will be seen over time as the body generates new healthy collagen and elastin fibers. Jplasma is supposed to tighten faster immediately, but results ultimately take just as much time to be realized as with ThermiRF (Bodytite). For best results, combine with Exilis Ultra externally.
I love love love Mark Peters' response below. Couldn't have said it better. A much shorter answer provided by InMode is: expect 70% of result at 3 months, 100% by 6 months. I agree that it can take up to a year though.
In my opinion, and from the research I have done, it takes about 6 months to get full results from the Bodytite procedure. The area treated goes through a healing process that takes months to go through.Every day there are changes. I have my patients return every 6 weeks, if possible, to track and show the progress happening.
It will depend on the amount of swelling resulting from your treatment. this varies do to many factors. I often combine the treatment with PAL so the swelling is increase in the short term.
Thank you for your question. Yes, this is normal after Body Tite and liposuction. The Body Tite works through a radiofrequency loop and causes thermal or heat damage to the tissues. This is what stimulates new collagen production and tightening of the skin. This also can cause significant...
