How long does the numbness take to go away after BodyTite?

I'm certain it must be uncomfortable, if not scary, to experience numbness and swelling after the BodyTite procedure. This can occur, to some extent, in about a third of patients. If liposuction contouring is performed simultaneously, that number can bump up to 50%. The good news is it is temporary. I have seen complete recovery in as few as 4 weeks and as long as 4-6 months.
The BodyTite procedure is knifeless.  The probes used are blunt-tipped, meaning it is highly unlikely to actually divide branches of the sensory nerves. Bruises are much more common. 
Sometime it helps to hear from doctors and other patients that this happens from time to time, and that it almost always resolves on its own. Keep close followup with your plastic surgeon, and be well.

Thank you for your question. Numbness can be caused by two things - trauma or injury to the nerves and swelling putting pressure on the nerves. The pressure component resolves usually by 6 weeks. Most numbness from trauma or injury to the nerves resolves by 3 to 4 months but may persist longer.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

where did you have your treatment and was it combined with liposuction.  In many instances while there is swelling the sensation can be deceased significantly.
