When dose the feeling come back?
Answer: Numbness and Tingling after BodyTite Dear Silyplum, I'm certain it must be uncomfortable, if not scary, to experience numbness and swelling months after the BodyTite procedure. This can occur, to some extent, in about a third of patients. If liposuction contouring is performed simultaneously, that number can bump up to 50%. The good news is it is temporary. The BodyTite procedure is knifeless. The probes used are blunt-tipped, meaning it is highly unlikely to actually divide branches of the sensory nerves. Bruises are much more common. It sounds like your femoral cutaneous nerve may be affected, which is common with procedures near the groin. Sometime it helps to hear from doctors and other patients that this happens from time to time, and that it almost always resolves on its own. Keep close followup with your plastic surgeon, and be well. Warmly,

Answer: Swelling after Body Tite This is a common concern and thank you for submitting this to Realself. I tell my patients that they can expect numbness for at least 4-6 weeks. This is due mainly to the swelling that follows the procedure. It is not uncommon to experience a time period of hypersensitivity which is often described as a sunburn feeling or like ants crawling on their skin. This usually lasts less than a week. You can let your plastic surgeon know and he or she will reassure you that this is a normal part of the healing process.

Answer: Numbness and swelling after BodyTite Thank you for your question. It is common to have numbness after BodyTite. The reason for this is the superficial nerves that give sensation to the skin have been bruised. It will take some time for those to heal. Through some of the healing process you will likely feel sensations like short stabbing pain that comes and goes, a feeling of water dripping, or like something crawling on you. These are all good signs that the nerves are still intact, but just bruised. How long it lasts can vary from patient to patient. the swelling is same way. it will gradually dissipate with time. If your PS had you wear a compression garment after surgery this always helps. But everything should resolve itself in time. Respectfully, Dr Ernie Layton
