Question

I had upper and lower Bleph on Jan 26, 2018. Today would be 3 1/2 months after surgery. I have what seems to be milia. My next appointment will be mid June. Dr said to wait since I am a strong or slow healer, he will re-check and will take care of the bumps. Any recommendations to avoid additional scar tissue?

It’s common to experience milia or small bumps after upper and lower blepharoplasty, especially during the healing process. To minimize additional scar tissue, consider keeping the area well-moisturized with a gentle, non-comedogenic moisturizer. Avoid harsh exfoliants and opt for a gentle skincare routine. Sun protection is crucial, so use a broad-spectrum sunscreen to shield the healing skin. Additionally, maintaining a healthy diet rich in vitamins C and E can support skin healing. It’s great that your doctor is monitoring your progress, so be sure to follow their advice and discuss any concerns during your next appointment.

As previously stated, these are small suture tract cysts or milia and are easily removed, if they do not resolve on their own.

These are inclusion cysts. They happen sometimes as the wound heals. If they don't resolve on their own they can be easily excised. I agree with the course your surgeon is taking.

The bumps on your upper eyelid are exactly what you describe as Milia.  These are tiny cysts that can form along the suture line.  They usually go away by themselves but if still present after 3 months they can easily be “picked off” in the office on your next visit.
