I am 3 days post op after a full TT. My question is when can I get back to my house chores. I have no pain I just struggle with moving a little
Answer: Postop abdominoplasty instructions should be generated by your own surgeon. Most patients after in abdominoplasty or doing regular day-to-day activity in 5 to 7 days. However, specific limitations to activity will be clearly outlined by your own surgeon.

Answer: Resuming house chores after tummy tuck I recommend waiting two weeks before any type of strenuous activity such as house cleaning. Waiting this period of time helps to reduce the chances of post-operative bleeding and swelling. You need to give your body a chance to settle in and heal. You should check with your own surgeon however and follow those instructions. Good luck.

Answer: Resuming House Chores After Tummy Tuck House chores are some of the worst movements you can do after surgery! ...Especially a tummy tuck. The repetitive bending and twisting causes movements in your tissues that can increase your risk of developing a fluid collection, a seroma. It is best to wait it out and let others do the picking up and putting away for now. Your surgeon will be able to guide you the best, but I tell my patients to wait closer to 4-6 weeks before resuming activity such as this. Good luck and congratulations!

Answer: When to resume household activity after a #tummytuck There is no direct and absolute answer to when a person should go back to normal daily activities after a tummy tuck. Certainly it is worth slowing down and taking it easy to help your recuperation along. I try and explain to our patients all the time that a week, in the grand scheme of your life, is a very, very short time. Take a deep breath, relax and allow your body some time to heal. Getting around and walking is absolutely necessary in the first week, and if what you are doing does not hurt it is unlikely to cause you any trouble. A week is pretty standard for people being able to go back to doing normal things but they may be somewhat uncomfortable.Best,Dr. Pyle
