I have had 3 surgeries & now have CC on 1 side. It is so bad I cant use my arm to lift anything that causes the muscle to contract. Its quit painful. Im 25 & this has consumed me & caused major depression & stress to the point that I hardly leave the house & I quit my job. How much does it cost to get CC fixed? I just got done paying 8k for his last redo. Thank you for your time you have no idea how much I really appreciate it.
Answer: Surgeon fees for re-operation
Although many surgeons will reduce or eliminate fees for immediate post-op complications, or revisions, capsular contracture is really not one of these. It is not the fault of the surgeon or the patient, and can occur quickly, or years later. Most surgeons will charge for this. If you have had this many problems, you may want to consider just removing the implants, or consider a different surgeon.
Good luck.

Answer: Contractures are 'no-fault'
so you cannot expect your surgeon to do this for free. That being said, my patients are covered for the first year from their surgery for any problem related to their implant if they simply cover the costs of the facility, anesthesia and implants if changing them. After the first year fees will apply but if they were my original patient, they get a discount. And if my patient had 3 contractures in a row in a short time frame, I would be counseling against more surgery due to the incredible risks for having another... the Jenny Jones story. But options always are present so if you're determined to beat this (or go down trying), more procedures are available to you at more cost.

Answer: Who pays for correction of a capsular contracture?
Most plastic surgeons have standing policies on secondary plastic surgery. Certainly no one wants to have a complication. Unfortunately complications do happen and the tendency is to blame some one. This is not the case. The only commodity that a plastic surgeon has is his time. So the time spent reoperating on complications is time lost on other patients. Work with your plastic surgeon and hopefully you will be able to come up with a satisfactory conclusion.

Answer: Capsular contracture reoperation and fees.
I am sorry to hear that you have had such a problem with capsular contracture after breast augmentation. This problem unfortunately may recur again in the future. Even though it is expensive to correct the problem, this is not the fault of the Plastic Surgeon and he or she should be able to charge for the surgery again. After all, the effort and proper time has been spent in an effort to correct the healing problem that has led to the contracture, but there can not be any guarantees about this. Having said that, however, good Plastic Surgeons try to be fair about how they bill for this, particularly if you return to the original Surgeon to seek further care.
Good luck to you.

Answer: Cc.
Poor thing. This is a problem with breat implants and even though there are theories, no one knows for sure why it happens. There are various things that can be tried to remedy the problem as I'm sure your doctor has told you, but none of them work 100%. Because its not something that the doctor has control over almost no one will do such a revision for free, though I myself will sometimes do a revision for cost.
