My forehead has been my biggest insecurity throughout my life. It's big and shaped like a freaking mountain. I've looked into a forehead reduction surgery because I want my forehead to be smaller but it wouldn't fix the very odd shape of it. Is there surgery that can possibly do that? I have always wanted a flat, small forehead with a rectangular hairline. Or I just want it to look normal and attractive
Answer: Yes there is Believe it or not, this is a common problem. Adjusting the forehead and hairline are done at the same time and are safe, effective, and easy to recover from.Don't give up hope!

Answer: You can lower your hairline with surgery but to understand how it may actually look or to understand realistic expectations... You can lower your hairline with surgery but to understand how it may actually look or to understand realistic expectations, you need to see a doctor in person and have this conversation. Forehead reduction surgery or hair grafting transplant can both lower your hairline. It would be in your interest to have a consultation with a doctor and understand your risks and benefits of each surgery. It would not be fair to suggest one or the other option without an examination or understanding your specific goals. There are issues of scarring, shock hair loss, hairline shape, and many other factors that must be understood. One risk is that forehead reduction surgery leaves a scar on the hairline no matter which surgeon or type of surgery performed. However, most of these scars are not as noticeable depending on how the individual heals. One limitation is that it does not round out the face (temple corners). Hair transplant surgery may be an option for a forehead reduction. Hair transplant surgery does not leave a scar on the forehead. It actually can give you a natural and soft hair line as well as rounding of the temple corners. Like all cosmetic surgery, how "natural" this may look depend on the artistry of the surgeon. Hair transplant surgery limitation is that the results are not immediate and the growth will not be as "full" as a forehead reduction surgery. You can see an example of a hair transplant surgery in the video below

Answer: Is there surgery for my odd, sloped and long forehead? #recessed hairline #frontal bossing #forehead reduction Thank you for your question! I have worked with a number of Transgender patients with long pronounced foreheads. It would be helpful to look at some x-rays of your underlying skeletal anatomy with respect to your frontal sinus and frontal bone. This would help to determine the type of forehead reduction that would help in your reduction. Some patients may just need some contouring of the underlying bone, while others require a frontal setback surgery to reduce the bone projection. After correction of this, a hairline advancement would be performed to decrease the forehead length during the same operation. This is performed routinely with my patients who have similar shape to their forehead. I think with careful planning, you may have a much improved forehead shape. I hope this helps!!
