Surgeons have their own instructions for post op recovery after breast augmentation. Check with your surgeon for advice. DMSO is not routinely used for swelling.
We do not recommended massage or any topical treatment of postoperative swelling after mammoplasty. For patients with implants we recommend to have a breast band placed over upper pole of the breast to diminish swelling of the muscle and push implants down to expand lower breast pole.

Thank you for your questions. I would discuss this with your surgeon prior to doing it. DMSO is only approved in medical uses for interstitial cystitis. I would not recommend placing it on a recent surgical site and I would stick to remedies that have a proven benefit. Hope this helps!Dallas R. In general DMSO is not routinely used to treat swelling or aid in healing recovery as it can cause allergic reactions and adverse skin and constitutional issues in people.
I would reach out to your board certified plastic surgeon before using this to aid in swelling. This is not typically used post breast augmentation.
I encourage you to discuss the use of DMSO with your surgeon before moving forward. It is not commonly used to treat swelling after breast augmentation.
Hello and thank you for your question and photo's. Stop using it right away, you are allergic to it. I recommend silicone gel strips or silicone gel.

I do not believe there is any scientific evidence that collagen supplementation leads to excessive scar formation. Standard scar-decreasing maneuvers such as relief of tension, sun-avoidance, massage & perhaps silicone (usually reserved for when/if scar hypertrophy actually forms) will...
